Parlophone PMC 1267 – The Beatles

“Rubber Soul” 1965

PMC-1267-Rubber-Soul-front

PMC-1267-Rubber-Soul-rear

PMC-1267-Rubber-Soul-label

Sleeve notes:

Laminated flipback sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse.

Label notes:

Yellow and black Parlophone label with ‘SOLD IN UK SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS’
‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD’ on label perimeter wording.

Stamped matrix:

The first mono pressing (known as the ‘loud cut’) has -1/-1 stampers thus:

XEX 579-1

XEX 580-1

Later second pressings have -4/-4 or -5/-5 stampers:

XEX 579-4

XEX 580-4

(NOTE: Record Collector ‘Rare Record Price Guide’ 2014 has terrible errors on the above matrix information for the first pressing, claiming it should be XEX 571-9  and EXE 580-1…let’s hope they correct it for future issues!)
