“Paladin” 1971
Sleeve notes:
Gatefold sleeve, matt textured outer with silver foil band logo with EJ Day Group printer’s credit on inner gatefold. Island Records credit on inner gatefold.
Label notes:
Island Records credit on label.
Stamped matrix:
ILPS 9150 A-1U BRON1001 A-1
ILPS 9150 B-1U BRON1001 B-1
This shows that the album presumably was the very first release on the newly founded label (by Gerry Bron, co-founder of Vertigo) and should have had a Bronze catalogue number of BRON1001, but due to the manufacturing and distribution being handled by Island, it had an ILPS (Island Records) catalogue number.
